The Lower School Learning Center is a resource for students and teachers in providing support for skill development and enhancement, especially in the early years of Lower School. With the opportunity to work with individuals and small groups of students, the Learning Center teacher can focus on particular needs of students when they arise. The communication with the homeroom teacher ensures that the students are receiving instruction and practice in the specific skills they need to be more successful in their academic work.
The Learning Center teacher also provides assistance to classroom teachers with on-going assessment and interpretation of standardized testing results.
