Visual Arts

The Visual Arts Department is an interdisciplinary learning program where students are immersed in the creative process. Students will design objects and works of art, compose performances, and build environments that investigate the complexities and wonders of the human experience. The curriculum is situated at the intersection of art, technology, and design. Students who leave this program will be ready to enter their communities with the following skills: critical thinking, problem solving, designing, object-making, new media development, collaboration, project management, the use of state-of-the-art digital tools, presentation and performance, and the assembling of a portfolio. Our objective is to produce inspired and engaged members of society who approach problems with curiosity and who are able to design their futures collaboratively and creatively with proficiency and confidence.
