Giving to PCDS

Make a donation
Read a letter from Ryan Joyce, the new Director of Advancement

Since Phoenix Country Day School opened its doors in 1961, charitable giving has been an essential part of the School’s success. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, PCDS has become one of the nation’s top preparatory schools. As PCDS is a nonprofit (501c3) organization, the School relies on the support of donors to strengthen programs, upgrade facilities, and ensure the future of the institution through endowment. Our donors are parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, friends, faculty and staff, and corporations and foundations. All gifts are important, and there are many ways you can participate.

Financial donations may be made online by clicking one of the links below, or by contacting our Advancement Office at 602-955-8200 x 2229. Please call or email us with any questions you have.

Please note that credit card transactions occur immediately after you indicate final approval of donations.

The Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the central fundraising priority at Phoenix Country Day School. It offers a tax-deductible way to bridge the gap between tuition charged and the actual cost of operating the school.

Arizona Tax Credit Program

Through the Arizona Independent Schools Scholarship Foundation, you can give to PCDS so that you receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your Arizona income tax return. You also receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit when giving to Arizona public schools; PCDS is recommending two schools in neighboring districts that could benefit greatly from your support.

Other Opportunities for Giving

Project Excellence

Project Excellence is our community outreach program which provides a five-week summer academic enrichment program along with five Saturday workshops throughout the year for gifted students in grades 3 through 12 from area public schools. The Project Excellence Teachers' Program benefits the teachers of our collaborating Project Excellence schools by providing tools and training through a summer and follow-up workshop at PCDS. Donations to the program can be given directly to PCDS or as a specified recipient through the Valley of the Sun United Way.

Endowment

Unrestricted endowment earnings help support the operating budget while earnings of restricted funds are directed to financial aid, salaries, and special donor designations. The principal of these funds remains intact while the school spends a portion of the interest income each year to support its operating budget.

Buildings & Capital Projects

Every facility on our campus is the result of a Capital Fund drive. Donations to finance and support future buildings and capital projects continue the legacy by assuring that the quality of our facilities matches the excellence of our educational programs.
