The PCDS Community Directory (login required*) has been updated with the week’s changes. Please keep us aware of any changes by logging into myPCDS and clicking the Update family information link, found on the left side of the page. Construction and Parking Lot
8/21/2017

We've been busy over the summer with the 4th and final project of the THRIVE Campaign - the new Shepard Welcome Center - and you'll notice that due to construction fencing, our parking lot is altered slightly. As such, we ask three things of you: 1) Leave some extra time in the first week for drop off and pick up; 2) pay attention to the PCDS team directing traffic; 3) exercise patience with a slightly new process. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe in the parking lot!

Our first book club meeting in the fall will be at noon on September 6, in the Brewster Library Conference Room in the Upper School. The books will be Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Born A Crime by Trevor Noah. For more information, please email Jessica Bohl at PABookClub@pcds.org.

New This Fall: Parenting Roundtable - Summer Reading
5/26/2017

As a spin-off to Book Club, The Parents’ Association will sponsor a Fall Parenting Roundtable Discussion on 2 book titles (1) Excellent Sheep: The Miseducation of the American Elite & The Way to a Meaningful Life by William Deresiewicz; and (2) The Price of Privilege by Dr. Madeline Levine. These books are intended to spark meaningful and mindful conversation about our children, our communities, and (yes :)) ourselves. You may read one, or both, or parts of each, whatever interests you, and we will have a roundtable discussion. Please contact Karen Odden with any questions.
