PA Meeting: Thanking all PA Volunteers and Annual Upper School College Update

On Tuesday, May 9, from 7:50-9:00 a.m. in Burch Hall, please join Headmaster Andy Rodin as he thanks all parents who have served in any type of a Parents' Association volunteer role this year. Afterwards, Patrick McHonett, Associate Head of School, will present the School's annual report on colleges PCDS seniors are attending this fall, as well as the latest college admissions updates and trends. Arts Walk is Coming!

Host a Student from Ghana

PCDS Upper School has an opportunity to host an AFS student from Ghana. She is sixteen years old and enjoys school and loves to write stories. She would be a great fit for PCDS but we need to find her a host family for the 2017-18 school year. Please contact Jenny Treadway or 602-955-8200 ext. 2263 if you are interested in learning more about hosting this amazing young woman.

Follow Up Information for the Parents' Association Social Media Meeting

Thank you to the over 125 parents that attended Wednesday's Parents' Association meeting on social media! Detective Tanya Corder discussed children's growing dependency on technology, the challenges parents face when their children go online, and ways to ensure their safety. Dr. Lisa Strohman referred to the Digital Citizen Academy as a resource for parents. In addition, please contact GroovyTek, (George Lopez at 602-638-5400) a company that helps parents understand how to effectively use their individual and/or family smart phones/tablets/computers, if you are interested in their services. New Sage Dining App

Did you know? PCDS food services provider Sage Dining has a new app available - now you can see upcoming lunch menus, track allergens, plan meals, and more! Check out the video for more details. And, be sure to download the app in the Apple Store or Android Marketplace.

myPCDS Access Issues

Recent updates to the Firefox and Chrome web browsers for the Mac and PC are causing problems with myPCDS, our internal website; a variety of operations are resulting in error screens. If you encounter issues accessing the site, please use Safari on Macs and Internet Explorer or Edge on PCs.

PCDS Summer Programs, Registration Open
3/2/2017

PCDS offers a great summer experience for students in three, 2-week sessions, June 12 to July 21. Through grade 8, students create their own half-day or full-day schedule with academic classes and enrichment options in technology, sports, theater, and art. Students participating in the full-day program select afternoon electives such as arts and crafts, swimming, rec room, gym games, and more. High school students register per class.
